Unfortunately my soul couldn’t handle anymore of the ups and downs, so I’m taking a break until my soul has regenerated. He has two children from his previous marriage, who we did get custody of and I consider them my children too! We have 9 grandchildren that range from 15 years old down to 1 year old, all but 1 are girls! Christmas can get expensive!!! Though we have had our share of problems through the years, I can still say he is my best friend!…Hold on while I ask him if I’m his too… he said yeppers you bet! Jamaica Man!Īfter working so many different jobs in my life I finally received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and I became a caseworker for a foster care and adoption agency that contracted for Department of Children and Family Services, (DCFS) for 2 1/2 years. I did met and marry a wonderful man, Michael and have been married for 19 years to date.
I did get 4 beautiful children from that marriage, one being a stepchild that I raised since he was 2, so he is mine. I was one of the lucky ones that was able to get away from him after 16 years of being afraid.
He was abusive physically and emotionally. Sometime I will explain why she signed for me to marry him. I was not pregnant and I had to have my mom’s permission. I married at age 15 in my first marriage. I have remembered that to this day and it has kept me out of a lot of fights! My mom told me later that night I shouldn’t punch people just because they aren’t smart. Once a boy called me a bastard, I didn’t know what it meant but it didn’t sound good, so I punched him and bloodied his nose. I have always considered God my father so I guess you can’t get one any better then him! There were times when I was young that it got to me, those times when I was being bullied because I didn’t have a dad in my home. I never thought I was worse off then the next person because I didn’t have a dad around, in fact, I always thought I was better off because my mom taught me a girl can do anything a guy can do. I did not have a dad around, but that’s not to say I did not have a father figure because all of my uncles took on that role. So here I am introducing myself to you and I always wonder how much information I should give in these! My name is Teddy, which is short for Theodora, and so you know I hate being called Ted, (I’m female), or when people spell my name with an I instead of a Y? Wouldn’t you just ask a person how they spell it?
